Costs for Participating Scouts

Scouts participating in Troop 307 can estimate the following costs for one year of participation:

Recharter dues: $85
Scout Life Magazine subscription: $15 (optional)
Troop Campouts: $20 per campout with 8 campouts offered annually
Summer Camp: $325-$400, costs vary based on which camp Troop 307 attends that year
Winter Camp: $175-$250, costs vary based on which camp Troop 307 attends that year
High Adventure camp: $2,500-$3,000, costs vary based on the high adventure camp. Most camps require Scouts that are 14 years or older.

All Troop 307 members, youth and Adult, will receive a:

Troop 307 Neckerchief
Troop 307 Hat
Troop 307 Class B t-shirt

EXAMPLES

Scout ages 11 - 13 that is in Football:

Recharter dues: $85
Attend 4 of the 8 Campouts: $80
Summer Camp: $325

Total Estimated cost: $490

Scouts ages 14-18 that is in Track & Field:

Recharter dues: $85
Attend 4 of the 8 Campouts: $80
Summer Camp: $325
Winter Camp: $175
High Adventure Camp: $2,500

Total Estimated cost: $3,165

Fundraising Opportunities

To fund the Scouts journey, there are multiple fundraising opportunities offered throughout the year:

Popcorn. 40% of sales go to the Scout. This is available to sell digitally year-round.
Christmas Tree Pickup: Limited to a few Scouts. Available for a limited number of days in January.
Adventure Cards: 50% of sales go to the Scout. This fundraiser runs from February - May.

David P. Van Delist Campership Fund

Troop 307 is passionate about offering all boys the opportunity to participate in Scouting.

To that end, the David P. Van Delist Campership Fund was established in 2020 to provide assistance to Scouts for campouts, camping gear, and annual dues and a Pop Up Uniform Store that carries a wide selection of shirts, shorts and pants.

Troop 307 Scoutmaster manages distributions. To request assistance from this fund, please speak to the Scoutmaster. Requests for assistance are maintained confidential and anonymous.

Troop Scout Accounts

To manage each individual Scouts funds, Troop 307 establishes a Scout Account for all Scouts where all their fundraising dollars are recorded. Family of Scouts can contribute to their Scouts Account any time they wish by giving a check or cash to the Troop Treasurer.
